Windows 10 build 10558 (leak)

Microsoft relased on 29th July the Windows 10 for PC devices. As we know, this journey has no end, as Microsoft revealed that will constantly update Windows 10 and the next major update is scheduled for next year, which codename's Redstone. Saying this, the Insider program is running and a couple of builds were released since RTM at 29th July (build number 10240).
Gabriel Aul, on twitter, revealed that no more builds would came out until 6th October, that will be held a conference (Microsoft will talk about Surface 4, Lumia devices (950, 950 XL and 550)) and Band 2, and we can presume a new build coming for Insiders on both platforms - for PCs and phones (build 10559 is flighting to internal Fast Ring).

The latest official PC build for Insiders was 10547, but thanks to Wzor, we now have access to build 10558 :)
This build was released internally on 28th September and brings some interesting updates. I don't have access to the changelog, although I have found some noticeable changes by-side other users.

• New Messaging (with Dark UI theme) and Skype Video apps
• New Find My Device feature, that periodically saves the device location using GPS
• New icons on Panel Control, as well, a new icon for Safe to Remove (USB drives). The Registry editor has a new icon too.
• You can now save yours apps to external storage
• Edge browser tab preview

Messaging app

Settings: Find my device

This feature was already available of Phone devices. Now, Microsoft brings it to the PC version of Windows. I think is a good feature, specially for mobile devices such tablets and laptops. To configure it, go to Settings, then Update & Security and expand Find my device

Save your apps on...

Finally, you can now save your apps on other locations rather than OS partition. This option was available on Settings app on RTM, although was disable. I haven't tested it yet, I am just curious if you can save them on a USB flash for example.

Activate Windows 10 build 10565

Microsoft released the very first Windows 10 on past 29th July. The Windows 10 RTM was set as build number 10240. With new Microsoft plans, Windows 10 isn't done yet, as the company pretends to update its OS regularly as is known that a new major update, known as 'wave 2' of Threshold 2, or shortly just Threshold 2, is scheduled for this year, maybe November or December (like Mobile release). The Insider program stills on it's way, and all post-RTM builds are of type 105XX. Currently, the latest public build is 10565. On this tutorial, I will just show how to activate these builds, running away of the keyless activation feature implemented by Microsoft. Basically, so that you can use a TH2 branch build with genuine licence, you must install a previous build from TH1 and get an activated build, and for that, you must had a genuine copy of Windows 7 or 8.x. For sure, if you are already running a Windows 10 genuine copy, you can join the Insider program and go ahead with TH2 builds :)

How to activate Windows 10 Wave 2 builds?

If you have already installed Windows 10 Insider builds that are part of Wave 2, and you don't want to waste time installing original and licensed Windows 7 or 8.x, followed by install Windows 10 RTM (th1 branch) and finally jump to Windows 10 Insider th2 branch builds, on range 105xx, there is a way to activate it using KMS activators, and for this, I will use Ratiborus KMSAuto Net 2015.
First, download the rar file. Make sure you extract it before running, I mean, do not try to run the executable file directly from WinRAR or any other program you have associated with RAR files.

Ok, now that you have the KMSAuto running, go to About and 'join' Professional Mode. We will do it to have access to a few more features.

On Utilities tab, pick your Windows version (you check it by taking a look on the watermark on the desktop OR check out system information by holding Windows key + X and click hover System)

Finally, click Install key.

Wait until you get prompted.

One final step... go to Main and click Activate Windows

Take a look at the output console to make sure it's done.

Windows 10 build 10568 leaked

Microsoft has pushed build 10565 for Insiders on Fast and later Slow rings. It also has released ISO's on Fast ring step, very unusual. Now, Wzor, has leaked the build 10568. Yes, is just a 3 digits newer build, but it is always exciting :)
Is also known that on internal rings, current build is 10575. (confirmed information today).

What is new?

So far, by looking at leaked screenshots, no visible changes were found. I am installing the build to give it a look :) Leave comments if you find something new.
Of course, this build must contain bug fixes.
After playing with this build for a couple of hours, me along other Insiders, we found some changes in the UI, bug fixes and Microsoft trying to convince you to love Edge and any other built-in apps.
Here is the list of what we have discovered so far:
The apps title bars color on load matches the splash screen color;

Personalization settings are back on Control Panel, though this might be temporary as Microsoft plans to move all CP settings to the current Settings app.

You can now send text messages (celular) on PC using Cortana. You can use your voice or keyboard to compose the text and then send it.

   

It seems Microsoft plans to bring that feature to Messaging app too, allowing the use of a single app on PC to chat on Skype and send SMS. The Messaging app on Mobile builds is the same on the PC, promoting once again the consistency across all your devices.

A bug causing Windows Explorer to crash on previous build, 10565, is now fixed.

Known issues

Users are reporting that Store is not updating apps. A possible workaround is to disable auto-updates.
You can't turn off Bluetooth, even on Airplane mode.
